so, i made the promise of posting at least once a week. that's not happening. i planned on it, but there is my major problem with determination. besides, i'm applying to college. that's the best excuse any high school senior can have.
but during the long process of writing boring college essays, i discovered the amazingnes that is Grooveshark.com. it claims to have every song in the world (i haven't taken the time to actually verify this claim), but anything i needed has been there. i found the perfect songs to fill my playlist to psych me up. then, i finished a playlist to calm myself down. a simple search tool allows you to search for any song. so convenient, yet so necessary.
it's because of Grooveshark that i rediscovered my love for kid cudi and wale. both have had amazing mixtapes that have been played so often that my little sister knows lyrics. any mixtape from kid cudi is necessary just because of the content. he isn't the usual rapper. kid cudi spits poetry and journal entries that you can't help but to relate and feel his pain. now wale is a different story altogether. this guy is proud of where he came from and is here to educate us about the greatness of D.C. and his lyrics make you wish you could chill with him on a weekend.
plus wale made music greatness with lady gaga on the track chillin earlier this year. the beat samples Steam's "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye." there is a serious issue if you don't find yourself nodding to this song. and it makes you see a totally different side of lady gaga. didn't know she had it in her.
and to make my music dreams come true: lady gaga and kid cudi are teaming up (beginning around mid november) for the monster's ball tour. bound to be bananas.
