The Cynical Ones You won't be disappinted. Funny and intelligent, something hard to find in the blog world.

Late Night Pandora

In my head, I always have things that I want to do. I get really excited about them, and then the idea gets lost in the back of my head. It sinks into the idea pile that continually builds up everyday. This is basically how A Lyrical Addiction came to me. I'm in love with music (even though I'm not sure if it's in love with me). Ask any of my friends, and they'll tell you that I'm always downloading music and burning mix CDs for friends. I'm constantly googling my favorite artists to find related search terms, hoping that I can find somebody new. I lie on my bed in the dark and just listen to music on my MP3 player. That's all that I do, along with an overwhelming pile of homework. I think my music addict has gotten so intense that I can't even do my homework without listening to music. When I take a test, the silence annoys me, and I have to start singing a song in my head to finish a Pre-Calculus problem. But most of this is aside from the point. I want to talk to people about my love for music. There has to be other people in the world who understand what I feel like. I don't mean the people whose iPods have almost reached its full capacity, or the people that think they're the shit because they have the Beatles catalogue. I bet you five dollars right now that you don't know the lyrics to all of their songs. Come find me in nowhereland, USA and prove me wrong, and I'll give you five bucks in quarters.

But my main problem is that I can't diversify my music taste. I'm stuck in a alternative, hip-hop, and slightly country funk. That's all I listen to. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, but I want to know more. I want to hear more. There's millions of people out in the world. Somebody has to love an amazing artist. Somebody that they want everybody in the world to know. They sing their songs at the top of their lungs and almost die from happiness when someone else sings with them. I want that from other people in the world. I want to find people who can sing some Asher Roth, The Cool Kids, Sia, Zero 7, 3OH!3, Paramore, Something Corporate, Jamie Cullum, and Jay-Z with me. And that's just to name a few.
